CASA of Jackson County provides advocacy to more than 450 abused and neglect children annually. This would not be possible without the many highly-trained volunteers who advocate for children; or without the generous support of foundations, local businesses and individuals.

And the figures...
Trained CASA volunteers: 129
Volunteers in training: 12
Children served by CASA in 2007: 497*
Wards of the court still without a CASA: est. 350*

* Since we do not have enough volunteers to serve all of the eligible children, we must triage the cases, giving top priority to the most serious cases of abuse and neglect. Click Here to Volunteer!

Jackson County CASA strives to:
(a) to promote the best interest of abused, neglected, and vulnerable children who are wards of the court, using trained, committed volunteers advocating for each child's
timely return to a safe, nurturing, and permanent home.

(b) to promote community responsibility for reduction of child abuse and neglect.

All children will thrive...
in caring, healthy families-
families able to provide consistent support and nurturance within communities responsive to the needs and conditions of all their citizens.
